From the very first days of Georgia's independence, the Georgian School of International Law was established and developed under the initiative and leadership of Professor Levan Alexidze. The Faculty of International Law and International Relations was established at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (September 1990), which gave rise to the formation and development of the field of international law in Georgia.
